I’m sitting in the lobby of the Bunratty Castle Hotel in Shannon, Ireland writing this post. I’m jet-lagged and surprised this entry would come out even semi-coherent…Anyway, after my sister Karen getting pulled out of the security line due to the chemicals on her hands from her lab class, (she’s a chemistry teacher) to the pigeon that was staring at me and staying about 5 inches away from me at the airport, it’s already been a trip to remember.
And of course I can’t forget to mention the Continental Airlines Flight with touch screens in the head rests. A geeky chick’s dream…I played games, watched movies and listened to music….amazing.
It’s beautiful out today, the sun is shining and we went out for a brisk walk after we arrived at the Bunratty. Unfortunately, we may not get to see much more of it because everyone is passed out, except for me of course. It’s really gorgeous here. Everything smells so fresh, it feels like I’m breathing for the first time.
Tonight I believe we’ll be heading to the Bunratty Castle for a Medieval Dinner and Irish show. Apparently there are rave reviews from some of my mother’s friends, I’m looking forward to seeing it.
According to our itinerary, we will be in Shannon for 3 nights and in Dublin for 3…I’ll be sure to write a few more posts while I’m here, take care all!
